Dashana brings pure Merino and Pashmina wool from the high-altitude pastures of India — crafted by artisan hands into heirloom pieces built to outlast seasons.
Each Dashana piece begins as raw fibre and ends as something you will reach for every cold morning for years to come.
Feather-light yet extraordinarily warm — pure Pashmina hand-spun in Kashmir and woven into timeless wraps in a range of classic and contemporary colours.
Fine-count Merino knitted into relaxed, flattering silhouettes. Naturally breathable, odour-resistant and soft enough to wear directly against skin.
Heavy double-weave throws in rich earthy tones — the kind of blanket that anchors a sofa, warms a bed and becomes part of a home's character.
Hand-knitted caps, fingerless gloves and scarves in pure wool — compact gifts that deliver serious warmth in the harshest mountain cold.
Wool is one of nature's most resilient fibres — follow these steps and your Dashana pieces will last decades.
Use cool water (max 30°C) and a wool-safe detergent. Gently squeeze — never wring or twist — and rinse thoroughly without rubbing.
Lay woolen items flat on a dry towel, reshape to original dimensions and allow to air-dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Hanging stretches the shoulders and alters the shape of knits and shawls. Fold loosely and store flat in a breathable cotton bag.
Place cedar blocks or dried lavender sachets in storage. Avoid mothballs — their harsh chemicals damage fine wool fibres over time.
Dashana was founded in 1994 in a single weaving shed in Himachal Pradesh. What began as one family's craft has grown into a collective of 200+ artisan families — still hand-weaving, still using the same mountain fibres, still refusing to rush.
